Meet the Team
Mark Duckworth (Director) MRAC Dip FM C BUILD FCABE CSTDB MFPWS AssocRICS RICS Registered Mediator & Valuer
In addition to managing the business, Mark undertakes detailed building surveys and valuations on a range of property types, including period buildings, incorporating his knowledge of building pathology. Mark is also actively engaged in Party Wall work, principally across areas of prime London real estate where basements are often a significant feature. Other work includes producing expert witness reports, dealing with boundary matters, together with general mediation and negotiation skills in situations where disputes have arisen.
His approach seeks to combine a clear understanding of a given building together with an appreciation for his client's particular criteria/requirements, where the use of various soft skills (e.g. listening and communicating) are considered highly important.
Mark’s aim is to grow the business by growing the people within it.

Party Wall Matters: As a practical and pragmatic party wall practitioner, Lucy’s straightforward approach is much appreciated on standard party wall jobs, which involve simple extensions and alterations. She firmly believes that party wall matters should be kept in proportion for these types of works and that with clear and early communication between architects, builders, clients, and neighbours we can navigate the party wall process quickly and smoothly without excessive cost to the client.
Lucy is a member of both the Faculty of Party Wall Surveyors and an associate member of the Pyramus and Thisbe Society
Residential Surveys and Building Pathology Reports: Lucy undertakes many of our pre-purchase surveys, both Level 2 Homebuyers Reports and more detailed Level 3 Building Surveys and Valuations.
In addition Lucy is a PCA qualified Damp and Timber Surveyor and undertakes both pre-purchase damp and timber surveys as well as more in depth and complex building pathology surveys and environmental monitoring (useful when trying to understand the causes of condensation and mould issues).
